It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Christina Joan Folinus, 78, of Barnegat Twp., NJ. Christina went to be with her Lord peacefully on May 23, 2026, at home surrounded by her family.
Born in Brooklyn, NY, on April 3,1948 Christina and her family moved to Ocean Gate when she was nine years old. She attended Ocean Gate Elementary school and was a 1965 graduate of Central Regional High School. It was through her love of books, that she became a Library Aide for the Berkeley Township School System. She later spent many years as a Senior Library Assistant for the Ocean County Library, Lacey Branch. She was highly regarded for her friendly disposition to both her library patrons and coworkers.
Christina is survived by her loving husband of 55 years, Frank Folinus, and her two daughters Jennifer Zseleczky and Kathryn Manna, and her three grandchildren: Alexis, Amanda and Ava. Christina was preceded in death by her brother Steven Jordan and survived by her sister Joanne Wujack and her brothers Fred Jordan and Peter Jordan. She will be missed greatly by all.
Christina touched the lives of everyone who had the honor of knowing her. Her selflessness, warmth, and caring spirit will be remembered forever. She was always quick to make friends with anyone, especially her library patrons in Lacey. She leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and compassion that lives on in all of us. Christina will be remembered as a sweet, gentle and caring person as well as a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
